#09: Ceiling Blood

February 15, 2017 by Jessie Braun in Society & Culture

Shea Mangold talks about her first love and the disasters that came along with it, her calamity involving a curious pet and ceiling blood, and trying to become the role model many young women deserve in a world filled with Regina George-esque high school students.

This week, Jessie welcomes Shea Mangold. Shea is a English teacher, dance coach, choreographer, over-confident artist, and sarcasm enthusiast. She has been known to describe herself as “basically Robin Williams from that one movie where he’s an English teacher… but more of an asshole.” Jessie and Shea discuss girl stalking, period cups, and black cats while sharing their love for one another and embracing embarrassing situations.

You can keep up with Shea on her instagram @sheasheamus, but only if you enjoy meaningless memes and Afterlight edited selfies.

LachristaGreco_LoveXX

Jessie and Lachrista Greco, Founder/CEO/EIC of Guerrilla Feminism, discuss the realities of living with PMDD. They examine the challenges of getting diagnosed and the strain it brings on mental health. They speak of sexism in the medical industry and the importance of listening to your body. Lachrista mentions the problems with speaking about periods on Guerrilla Feminism due to the cis sexist nature of the language around menstruation.
